I still don't get this bias against the not so rich?

I have no problem with low income earners who work. It's the ones that rely on Big Brother to provide for their families that turn my stomach. Why is it that so many can get by but they can't. Government istance should not be handed out indefinitely to someone in perfect health. At some point you need to sink or swim on your own.
