Is $500 a good price for a Model 629 44 mag with a six inch barrel?

I'm drooling over this gun. It's in great condition and there has been some modifications to the trigger action, which is a definite improvement. $500 is before taxes and fees. 44 mag is a clic for sure and I want to hear the feedback out there for the Smith and Wesson Model 629. Thanks.
